The Miss America depression glass is something that has had growth in desirability in recent years. Miss America depression glass has many things that require attention when looking for a quality piece because of the many edges and points all around the plates and bowls.

Just a little history on miss America depression glass. It was made by Hocking glass company between 1933-1936.

Some of the most valuable pieces have been ruby colored glass. As much as $1000 dollars has been received for rare pieces. Pink glass being the second favorite. One thing is for sure, and that is that you must make sure when you are paying a lot for different pieces, that they are not reproductions. Anything that is Cobalt is considered new.

A few pieces to keep an eye out for would be pretty much anything thats Ruby color, as well as the butter dish in pink which has been reported valued as much as $800 dollars. Also the green salt and pepper shakers. Pitchers of any color as well are nice to have and can be valued between $75-300 dollars.

All the colors available for Miss America depression glass is pink, crystal, ruby, and green depression glass.

Coronation Depression Glass was made by the Hocking glass company, and was produced between 1936 to 1940. The fact that this glass has been reproduced in more recent years make many people cautious of what they buy. The colors of this depression glass are primarily three colors, which are pink, ruby and green. The pink depression glass may have the most valuable piece currently which is the pink pitcher. It is very rare, and has been valued at aproximately $1000 dollars.

Once again, the fact that there is so much imitation glass being made can fool many persons. remember, real depression glass will not look new and will have imperfections. This is what make depression glass, depression glass. A bowl without handles has also become popular, which can be found in pink depression glass as well as green depression glass. These are both real. Pick up any size bowl with no handles, and you will have yourself a rare find valued around $80 to $200 dollars depending on the size.

Old Cafe Depression Glass

Old cafe depression glass is a nice type of add to collection glass. Primarily pink depression glass, Old Cafe was made by Hocking Glass Company between 1936-1938. Some things such as matching saucers to ruby cups have not been discovered as of yet. The different items that have been discovered are, a mint vase, olive dish, several size bowls ranging from 4.5″ to 6.5″, sherbert plates, dinner plates, juice tumbler and regular tumbler.

As for pricing of Old Cafe depression glass, as was mentioned most being pink depression glass, a tall juice pitcher is what has been sold for the most at approximately $500 dollars. A purple mint tray has also been discoverd, but there has not been put a price as of yet on it or its value. Aside from these the lamps of all colors are the most valuable depression glass pieces to collect, ranging from approximately $100-$300 dollars in value. Also of nice value would be any relish sets you could find.

The most value is going to be the pink depression glass, followed by Ruby depression glass, and then the crystal being of lesser value.
